This is actually the largest star ever discovered. Canis Majoris' size was recalculated to 1,400-1,500 Solar Radii. UY Scuti has been calculated to be around 1,500-1,900. Most likely around 1,700.

Is this in Elite? I would check myself, but Xbox version is crashing quite a bit, so I am staying away from it until it's patched.

No it isn't in the Elite Galaxy. I think Canis Majoris is the largest star in game.

Canis Majoris is the biggest IN GAME star discovered so far.
Other real galaxy bigger stars are not present or unreacheable.
There was a nice thread about this in the expèlo forum a month ago.

There's not by far enough big stars in the game, considering our limited knowledge and the many we already know of.
