EDIT: Whoops, sorry didn't realise this was a necroed thread.
What is there to be sorry for?
The whole "necroposting" concept is something I have never, ever understood (and I am old enough to having been using the internet before a good portion of people here were even born). What's wrong in posting to an old thread, regardless of how old it is? If you have something new to contribute to the thread, go right ahead! What's wrong with that? Nothing. The whole "necroposting" being somehow bad idea is completely asinine. This especially if what you are posting is not been discussed before in the thread and is new information or a new fresh perspective.
There may be a modicum of reason to the idea if it's a very long thread and everything that can be said about the subject has been said ten times already, and the new post years later only repeats what has already been said. But even in this case I don't think time between posts has any relevance. Just repeating the same thing that has already been said in the thread is useless regardless of whether it's done on the same day as the thread was created as it is two years later. The timespan between the two things is quite irrelevant.
The most idiotic thing is blindly applying the "necroposting is bad" rule to everything, as a completely blanket rule to be always applied completely regardless of the contents of the thread or the newest post. Even if you were to argue that the rule has some merit, it certainly doesn't have merit in applying it blindly to every single thread in existence. Context and content matters quite a lot.
In this case the thread is extremely short, and you added a fresh new perspective to it, which fits perfectly into the topic of the discussion. There's absolutely nothing wrong about your post and nothing to be sorry about.
(Sorry about the long rant.)
