V sync, any way to change it??

hello folks,

is there any way to change the Vsync settings when rift mode is enabled??

is like the option to run at 50/60hz, im not bothered about low persistence for now, just wondered if it was possible to do?

cheers

Are you those top models that found a way to puke in a virtual environment? Welcome to VR :D

Go in your Card configuration panel, and you will find the option to turn off Vsync or in your case "Vsick"

Respect :D

PS: If all this is referred to the refresh rate, you will find it always inside there.

Try running it in Direct mode not Extended mine then picked up the monitor Hz.

If you want to puke your guts up and get headaches then go right ahead.

its not about puking up. if the fps drop into the 60s then its juddersville, at 60hz it will be butter smooth, all be it slightly blurry due to no low persistence. worked well on arma 3 changing to 50hz on DK1, just wondered if there was a way of changing the vsync setting

It is really odd. Using my older nv drivers I had full control of my rift I could run at 60, 72 and 75hz

I could run vsync on or off.

However since fully uninstalling the older ones and putting on the most recent now it is all locked down to 75hz. And vsync on.

Strange.

NEVER-EVER turn off Vsync with DK2.
It's not just low persistance, you will get serious visual troubles causing motion sickness and in general a very bad experience compared to vsync on.
The reason is mainly a weakness of how oculus made their SDK, it's not working outside vsync. It's not working outside true fullscreen. It's not working at a too low refresh rate.

I never tried but you can try and look how well it works: the DK2 has several refresh rates. if I recall right it'S 60 72 and 75.
your vsync is bound to your refresh rate, so if you lower it in your settings (nvidia settings) then you will have a lower FPS.

if you want to keep juddering to a minimum, change VSync to adaptive in Nvidia control panel.
