So, my girlfriend and I are packing for our much anticipated vacation to Seattle! Woohoo!

We brought a pair of suitcases, 1 large (for her, obviously) and 1 medium, for me, because I can fit my entire wardrobe in a carrier bag. Lol

Anyhoo, after neatly packing all my stuff, bar my shoes, with a little room to spare, my girlfriend is like; "Can I put some stuff in your bag?"
Me; "What stuff?"
Her; "Well... My handbag, my shoes, my coat, my other clothes, toiletries, hair curler...."

I should have known, and got the larger suitcase...
Although, that probably wouldn't be enough either... Lol

Best bit, I'm at the launderette, drying even more of her clothes to pack!

And I'm supposed to be leaving room for stuff I bring back...

And now, she's left me to pack, and gone around to our nosey neighbours house to tell her we're going away, and ask to keep an eye on our house. (Which she does regardless... Lol)

That was an hour ago.
And it's awfully quiet next door...

Still, I have to wait 48 hours before reporting her missing, so, error, I'll be in Seattle by then.

Have a good trip,

It will be smokey for the first couple of days and then will probably rain !

Don't give any money to beggars, you'll be swamped. Tweaked out meth heads are a problem at night as ar If you get the chance to go to the mountains and rent a car, head east on I90 and take a trip up to snoqualmie pass. If you want to head to the beach, it's a drive but worth it.

Have a good trip !

I lived there for 3 years, Bellingham up north is a good place to visit as well.

I'm finally all packed. Phew!

I'll be damned if anyone mistakes my suitcase for theirs...

My wife is the same. She always takes the larger case, and I still wind up packing extra items in mine. On top of that I usually wind up lugging around my kid's bag(s), too.

Well, we made it to our hotel, and my untrustworthy Saab didn't let me down.
I dropped my girlfriend off at the hotel we're staying at overnight (because the flight is early) and I went and parked the car at the airport so I don't have to try and brain at 5am tomorrow.

And I just spent the last hour trying to work out how to get back to the hotel from the airport. Lol

Finally found the hidden HotelHoppa bus stop, and deciphered the bus timetable!

*Achievement Unlocked: Decipher Bus Timetable Without Help*

Now just waiting for the elusive bus.

Starting to think I should have just drove here in the morning...

Public transport confuses me.

Well I made it to the airport! Security wasn't bothered by my combat trousers.

Had breakfast. Waiting for my gate to show up.

Kinda disappointed now. Up until last night my flight was showing as the seat next to me as empty (it's a 3/3/3 layout), my girlfriend has the window seat, I'm in the middle, and the isle seat was empty.

But now it's occupied! I was hoping I wouldn't have to sit next to anyone. Lol

Oh well.

Everything went smoothly!

Floght took off early.

My girlfriend hated all the plane food, so I ate all 6 meals (3 each).

Picked up the rental car. It's about 7 times bigger than I wanted, but for the same price. Lol
(I wanted a "compact SUV", what I got was closer to a bus).

Managed to drive from the airport to the nearest store without causing too much chaos. Then had a casual 30 minute drive up to the AirBnB.

Checked in, got changed, walked to the nearest store for food (because 6 meals wasn't enough), and it's only 17:15 here now.

Cooked dinner. Washed up.

I haven't slept since 0500 UK time (2100 Monday local time)... So 21ish hours.
And I didn't sleep much that night either!

But I still need a shower ..

But I'm just ready to sleep now. Lol
