Same here. The mining and exploration updates are phenomenal. Love 'em. Honestly I have not had so much fun in Elite in a while as I'm having with deep core mining and exploration.
The BGS bugs need to be ironed out asap, though.
Agree with Yamiks about pretty much all of this.
We got our money's worth out of Beyond.
Curious. I payed nothing at all for Beyond.I'm not sure about that: 4,000 hrs for $50, not counting cosmetics.. maybe another $50, plus ALT account, $20.. Total $120 for 4,000 hrs? I dunno. Most games I pay $50 and get about 30-50 hrs of gameplay.

I would say I agree with Yamiks, but he was altogether too kind.
The BGS does not just need some bugs ironed out. It needs fundamental issues addressed immediately. The BGS is probably the most popular part of this game. Certainly the glacially slow-moving main story arc is not.
Missions you do for your faction actually hurt your faction's influence. Read that as many times as you have to to get it through your skull.
This is not just a mere bug to be ironed out. This is a deal breaker, straight up.
Smart companies build on the successful aspects of their games, not try to tear them down in order to coerce their players into some other particularly uninteresting aspect of grind. The Thargoids are uninteresting, and I can tell you precisely why. They are not a threat. Players get to decide if and when they interact with the Thargoids. No wonder no one cares. Driving players from an aspect of the game they do like is not going to make them start participating in the aspects you want them to. It is going to drive them to other games.
The concept of determining the worth of a game by time/price is still something I jut don't understand.
I have no trouble at all understanding the concept.

It makes sense if you assume that your own time is worthless. The concept of determining the worth of a game by time/price is still something I jut don't understand.
Clearly, I never claimed otherwise. But when a game has built in, less than enjoyable downtime inflating my playtime I am not going to reward it for that. To each their own I guess.

Actually it's the people who do something they don't enjoy whose time is worthless
