Vegetation

Of course, the stars of the show are the dinosaurs. However, in the first film there is a reference by Laura Dern's character about a plant species having been extinct since the Cretaceous, just at the start of the first Brachiosaurus scene (I think the original novel mentioned extinct vegetation too but it's been a long time since I read it). I'd be interested to know whether there might eventually be some ability to populate enclosures with recreated extinct plant species more contemporary with the dinosaurs and the respective periods they lived in rather than simply rely on modern species.

Nothing that I have heard of yet, I know JPOG had that option, I would not be surprised if it is in the game at launch or at least sometime down the road.

I hope we get those kind of material in the game but something tells me it might be in an future update or something. but hopefully we get some ancient bushes and trees. of all things one thing I did notice in the gameplay videos whas that there were no stones.

but that whas a while ago now and hopefully their added in the game ;)

I don't see why we wouldn't have them. But I don't know how you would clone a plant that died out millions of years ago. I mean I know you can't clone a Dinosaur. But how would you even get plant DNA?

I wish there was the Redwood type trees in the game, but only available on Sorna. If there isn't I at least hope we can see them as part of the backdrop on that island

I do like the create-a-jungle-tool the game has, but I also would like to add single Plants and trees like in zt2, just for details. What do you people think? How realistic is that hope? :S Oh and btw ... Waterplants for lakes? Did anyone see or heard of something like that?

Maybe from coprolite (fossilized feces) from herbivores.
Another way might be from plant eating bugs found in amber, like the mosquito's.
In Sci-Fi there's always a way. :)
