very blurry and ugly texture on animals

Hi,

I bought the game before last night on Steam with the -20% promotion, except I'm facing a problem:


Despite the fact that I set the graphics options to maximum, my pets have a very blurry and ugly texture (look at the turtles picture). However, the whole environment seems to have taken my graphics settings into account.

Do you have a solution?

(I don't have the problem with the hippopotamus though, it has a correct texture)

I've heard it has something to do with RAM and how the game streams textures. I have the exact opposite problem, extremely detailed animal models and textures but poor plant textures. (Animal education boards as well, but they sharpen themselves after several minutes while plants don't)

The problem was a very big one, when the game launched, but was solved with some of the early patches for me. I also had the issue, that the visitors, paths etc were very sharp, but the animals and some other textures (e.g. carpets, wall pictures) were veeery blurry. Now the animals look beautiful and the other textures load after several seconds. But sometimes it can still happen, that they don't load at all. It's really not a big issue for me, but maybe something the team can look at for further patches

Are your gpu drivers up to date? if so, try to reinstall them.
Also try to verify the gamefiles (in steam --> planet zoo options)

Also, if you have nVidia graphics card, don't install Geforce Experience. It can mess with your graphic settings.

Oh, my God! I created a new zoo to test if the bug was still there, and to my surprise everything is clean and beautiful! This is so weird. I went back to my old zoo and it was all a blur. I actually feel like when a zoo is full of objects, some animals get blurry.

Hmm, maybe it is a corrupted savefile? Sent the savefile with the blurry animals to frontier, maybe they can find out what causes it.
