i was so happy this morning cause i knew the newsleter was coming in the mail :)

then i read it and was hyped. joyful to know that the game is coming well , really.

mnot sure how it works, maybe the game needs some tweaks to make it run smoother on weaker computers; i have a quad core and i dont get the high end running of those videos people make.

anyways, beta 3.9 comes next week, then gamma .... 30 sships !!! damn ! :) we only have around 11 atm.

i gotta get myself a new joystick soon cuz i want to enjoy those hypes ;)

It really is an amazing game, even with all the furore on the forum tonight. You will need a joystick for maximum enjoyment, and it's very heavy on your GPU - dropping my resolution a notch and disabling antialiasing did wonders for my frame rate.

Hope to see you out there.

I was absolutely delighted with today's newsletter too. Have stopped playing and likely won't do much more 'till Gamma, but only because a massive total wipe is incoming. Already enjoy the game immensely and if it launches as it is then I would be happy, safe in the knowledge that Frontier are going to develop it further, though they did specifically say more features are incoming in Gamma (or whatever they now call it). In fact my only objection throughout this whole Beta process was when Frontier dropped the Newtonian-esque flight model, much preferred that to the current model, though as I'm in the minority on that one I'm happy to go ahead and call that a good move too. I can see the lack of a true solo mode being a legitimate criticism for people who don't have steady internet access, but it's not an issue for me. Plus, new free ship, can't wait for that!

Its people like this that make my stock portfolio go up. Thank you.

No seriously. I do own stock in companies that benefit from Elite Dangerous sales for their peripherals.
