Very Quick Commodity price changes

Spent 2/3 Days just logging prices of Commodities in HTech Stations Probably have over 60/70 on a database.
Mostly taken from yesterday. It was a long boring day.

Today I decided to sort out a Trade Run, - No chance, all the ones which would have given profit had been altered, Lowered or Increased, buying or selling.
This last time was at Frobisher Terminal where I stood to make 100687cr.
The system kept saying unable to complete Transaction. 5/6 times till it changed from 6231 to 6680 cr. Buying Performance Enhancers, which I now need for my self.
Nothing else had changed at Frobisher Terminal.

Individual Commodity had also mysteriously changed at Chomsky Terminal, Dunyach Ent, Sanctuary, Cummings Port and more. All Higher value stuff.

I believe this ED if they wish, can target individual players, Although I promise, I do change my underpants daily.
Meanwhile lets say its just another infamous nerffff.
Or maybe they want us all on Power Play - no thanks.

Did a different power move into the system? They can have crazy effects on prices.

What were supply amounts like? Items with low supply will fluctuate more quickly.

I would have to look through my logs but yes I agree some were lowish, but mostly 50,000 and above.
I do have some screen shots -I hope otherwise all Typed up and hand written over.

What system is it, it is either under a PP control/influence, or people are massivley trading causing down trending,and ruining the trade route.

The ones I took note of were San tu,Ross 490,GD140,Yimakuapa,even thought I founjd a Run in Arexe,Yorates,Sitakapa and I did not miss out on many HT stations in between that lot.
With all the paperwork had to by a Track ball no room on my Full size ~Desk. lol
if I did not laugh the tissues would be out.

I like the fact that prices seem to be changing fast and dramatically. I think it's more realistic and better for the game and community long-term.

Why more realistic? If the same trader flew into port 30 times in a row with 200 tons of Land Enrichment Systems, I'm confident that someone there would widen up and eventually follow him/her out of port to see where he sourced nearby products from. And soon more traders would be copying that route, and the price differential would quickly shrink.

Why better for the game? Trading is currently the easiest and fastest way to make money. With the sheer number of 3rd party tools out there, one can make money trading with no real thought. Fast-changing prices somewhat negates the usefulness of these tools, and "forces" CMDRs to move around and perhaps even use some skill/thinking to find their own. That reduces CR/hr earning potential and therefore increases the amount of time it takes get into a big ship. It also incentivizes - to some degree - experimentation with other roles/variety. How many posts do we see from new guys that essentially say "I've been playing a couple of months, fly a maxed out Conda and am now bored with nothing to do?" That's self-inflicted pain right there - something that this helps negate (a bit). The longer people play the game, the more inclined they'll be to pay for paid expansions, which means more revenue for FD, which means longer support (and more content) for the game. So yes, by all means, pls slow down earning potential for trading and limit the usefulness of 3rd party trading tools!

I am so sorri but I think u R wrong,
I think u will find that the people making Millions will reduce quickly.
I have just spent 3 days Hunting all HT which all the experts suggest u start with, what do I have - nothing.
I thought I had but apart from the fact that I have not suffered a loss is I vaguely under stand the game.
My mistake was not taking 1 item as reecommended to test the run first.
I think, Think, that the only interest of ED is Power play, as an Oldie it took me all my time, to battle with the rules for the original Play,
let alone sorting out the rules for this Power Play. - Yes I was around in 198? whatever.
I do not use 3rd party trading tools, the only thing apart from owning a Python and 192 cargo, is that I can touch type. No way now can I see this changing to an Anaconda.
Rares where I did make my dough have nearly gone down the Tubes. Otherwise I would exchange my Asp back, no - not as well as.
Ahh well thanks for your input,
maybe now I may dig out my DCS, especially with the new updates due.
