Victor or Verity

With the upcoming Beyond changes, who will be changing their in ship COVACS?
Will you be changing all of your ships or will you be starting to 'sex' your ships?

For some reason, I think of Empire Ships as Verity and Federation ships as Victor.

I'll probably change over to Victor for a few ships and perhaps SLFs. I'll keep Verity for my most used ships because I also have the HCS Verity voice pack. Hopefully they increased Victor's volume so he's not drowned out like he was in the beta.

I really have/had no issue with Verity at all. I even bought the Verity voice pack for Voice Attack. But, for some reason, I hope it isn't some sexist thing, I find Victor's voice less jarring than Verity. With Victor, I was getting the info I've come to expect, without the wincing I've had with Verity.

I expect I will go for consistency across my ships, but I really only fly one, adding the the others for specific tasks. I hope, and expect, more choices to come along. And, I think it is a very nice touch.

As I reported to FDEV during the Beta... Victor's voice seems to be a bit over processed resulting in the presence of that voice failing to "cut through" the usual din of other ship SFX, making it harder to hear and understand clearly.

Verity on the other hand has less of that processing and as a result sounds a lot more out front in the mix and is much easier to hear and understand. Especially during combat.

In beta, Verity sounded amazing, Victor needs some tweaking.

For kicks, I ran Verity in ships and victor in SRV.

I did that too, except with the Chieftain. Nice thing about Victor in the SRV is you can still use the Verity voicepack and get her speaking from the ship while you're doing stuff in the SRV, so it works out perfectly.

Initially, I was all-Verity, but after spending some time with Victor, I even miss him now. He got louder in beta 3, btw. The only drawback is that he doesn't say 'friendship drive' properly.

I found Verity clearer and easier to hear then Victor. They did improve him during the Beta, but I think there's just more noises at Victor's tone than Verity's. Though I'll give Victor another go in the live version I suspect I'll stay with Verity.

I also agree: My Warships will be Victor.. my explorer ships will be Victoria.. (probably none remember that movie now..)

My only problem is the Imperial Eagle, deadly but beautiful at the same time.. so I will wait for a Tenor voice pack ( "Vittorio" )
