Nice video. What if the biologicals aren't protogoids, they're what is left over from thargoid activity millennia ago. Ship destruction, garbage dump, life seeding, or just leaving some bacteria behind, 'coz they didn't wash their hand after basking. And bacteria being the precocious little darlings that they are, might have survived and thrived into what we can see now.
