{VIDEO} Anaconda Dead In 2mins 50 seconds.. Fastest Time Ever but More Importantly..

Fastest ever Anaconda Kill in Elite Dangerous.. 2mins 50seconds.
-
We didn't even break a sweat.
-
We weren't shooting non-stop.
-
We didn't get blisters on our joystick hands or fingers..
-
We didn't even take any damage.
-
Of course we were mainly demonstrating how 5 members of Covert Ops squad was able to get into the same 190,000 credit mission instance with the player who took the mission... so we could help him while showing that multiplayer does work, if done right..

I don't understand what I'm seeing.

Wasn't there a video a while ago from some guy who killed an Anaconda in his Asp in like 40 seconds using dumb-missiles?
It was a video about weapon testing and seeing which weapons killed Anaconda fastest.. ?

Pls help me understand what this video is about :)

You are seeing 5 human players with Cobras. Not leet alpha/beta credit-hacked railgun loaded Anaconda player ships.
It turns out that although 5 humans were in the video, while I was filming and not shooting as often as I might have been, one other human reported a joystick malfunction and he watched more than fought.. so count it as three Cobras and a half.

We did not have friendly fire fines because we had "report crimes against me" turned off, also known as S.O.S.

Your assumption that the Anaconda is obtained through credit hack is just ridiculous. Did you know that there was a time where an Anaconda only cost ~6 million?
Anyway: You clearly did not understand that I only criticized you statement that it was the fastest Anaconda kill "EVER". This would mean at no time ED was playable (including Alpha/Beta/blabla) there was a player who could destroy an Anaconda in less than 2min50. I beat that time with an Asp being alone by the way. This thread is about showing off; I am sorry that I have destroyed your achievement of the fastest Anaconda kill "EVER".

No Sovereign, you're not going to spoil anything since the thread title clearly states "more importantly" and refers to the multiplayer aspect being used successfully.. Nobody cares about you changing the thread topic to solo mode when this topic is about multiplayer killing fast.. Please go to another thread and behave or Santa & Rudolph will kick your Asp.

I note that your target panel claims the NPC was "Harmless". The 190,000cr missions are generally "Elite" in my experience. Was that the same for everyone, or is there a bug with target rating?

How can it be "fastest ever anaconda kill" when it takes you guys 2 minutes longer than it takes me, solo?

Good for you that you're having fun, but this topic is about as useless as the constant "breaking news!" in media.

Doable in a single Cobra in about 15 seconds :D
I did it in under a minute myself on an unshielded Anaconda.
Simply use a Plasma Accelerator, target the Power Plant - should be dead in 4-5 hits or a few more depending how accurate you are - I couldn't believe it the first time hehe.

The only problem is getting the shields down first if they have them (and most do unfortunately).

It's very cool to see multiplayer working though.

No credit hacking required. Although that did happen.
I had a fully railgunned Anaconda myself but I preferred the fixed canons personally.

Your vid is cool and a good demonstration of what can be done.

Apart from the particularly tasteless and stupid title you've given it, that video was hilarious.
The video is actually titled "Elite: Dangerous Beta - Anaconda 7 Rail Guns".

Thanks for sharing this. A buddy and I have been wanting to help each other with the high level anaconda bounties however we cant work out how to get into the signal source that the other has entered in order to help with the kill.
Watching your video, it seems that you just approach the FSD wake in hyperspace and drop out of hyperspace once within a certain distance?

Appreciate if you could advise on this.
Cheers

A proud boast boys but incorrect. The record for killing an Anaconda admittedly in beta.

6 secs he selected right panel self destruct and boom on wipe day

good stuff though I think you have the moral high ground

@Dogdoor
If you target the Low Energy wake, you simply head for that as you would a normal station within the normal distance / speed limit.
It will show the blue 'ready to drop out' type box in the middle as for stations.

This works for NPC's as well as players.
