The body exclusion zone exists around all bodies like planets and stars and prevents you from crashing into them, sadly :<
Guess we'll have to wait until atmospheric flight/planetary landing is added before those zone are removed.

Are you saying that you hope they let you fly into a black hole? There are some interesting side-effects to that, but otherwise - make sure you have enough to pay your insurance because I don't think you'll get a lot of sympathy from your fellow CMDRs...

I was in a system last night with 2. I managed to line them up and then did a slow fly-by, which looked pretty trippy but didn't make for interesting stills.

No more overheating (as there should be none with 0K temperature dormant black holes), and we can finally get pretty close to event horizon? Yay!

I am just not sure about those trails and starfield sim both pointing into the BH, also engines seemingly push you forward but there's no effect. Perhaps some minor tweaking is still needed?

Anyway, I think devs are on the right track here.

Hehe thanks, the trippy effect is back when you leave the black hole too! Black holes are back and now I think sag A is worth a visit in 1.2

Not Sure about Neutrons and Dwarfs yet.. There is a lot more to 1.2 than you think! No, I've not even looked at wings yet!
