Video Guide: On Foot Player-to-Player Material Trading.

Oh dear Lord. Do people need to be shown how to do that?

1. Make sure you test the surface of your trade location with something expendable before you go tossing your SDPs into the terrain. Yes, some poor commander I was trying to gift SDPs to did not receive it because the ground ate it.

2. This is much easier to do with carriers. You don't have to meet, you don't have to instance. Just charge them an arm and a leg for it (which doesn't exist in ED because CRs are peanuts).

Addendum: The only trading I have done so far is have poeple come to my carrier giving away surplus engineer unlocks for low prices (basically for free), but that always involved them visiting my carrier and me having to put up a sell order once they are there. Just meeting up and throwing stuff on the floor seems much more convenient.

Spoken like someone that hasn't done it. 😄 :p

The first time I traded with a squad mate (I just bought EDO and he's giving me his surplus mats), he dropped 60 graphene in a single stack and I picked it up but only received 30.

Turns out his maverick suite was upgraded with increased capacity and mine wasn't so 30 graphene was swallowed by the void.

We never made that mistake again.

Mainly make sure its fairly level ground. The bumpier it is the more chance the item will clip through the terrain.
