The 32ly Hauler - Here is a picture of the 'perfect' Hauler Explorer. All that is different from the video is I found and fitted a A3 Scoop.

I ran the tank down to 25% which still leaves you just over 55ly fuel which means you can still make a 32ly jump with fuel to spare for a short hop to a scoopable star if needed.

I am currently playing with this exact same setup! I actually use a slightly smaller/cheaper scoop, I don't mind a 10% reduction in scooping efficiency. I also equipped an auto maintenance module, but never had to use it so probably won't equip it on my next trip.
What really bugs me with it though is the cockpit visibility, you can't take a screenshot without having some of it in the picture!

Cool - Dump the repair tool, it adds to your wear and tear costs, also, as you probably know, it does not repair critical parts, so pretty much useless for exploring.
As for the view, best you can do is look up slightly and then crop the video/image
