PvP {Video} PvP - DBS vs Corvette

As someone who flies a hull tank DBS, let me be the first to tell you that you are deathly allergic to high yield cannons and pilots who allow the npc to pilot their ship whilst they fly the SLF. SLFs do stupid damage to hull tanks, and a player flown SLF is excrutiatingly difficult to kill with railguns unless you reverski, which brings you within convergence of the main ship's weapons. The DBS is a bit of an odd craft in that it excels in killing slightly heavier ships, but will lose against big ships and also other small hull tankers like the Cobra, which has better internals for tanking and a nicer front on profile.

Was just a bit of a shame is all, you did good pvp and honest piracy videos without the need to KOS unarmed dudes for lols like some; but it's only game so each to their own.

That Vette definitely needs some work. Not only on shielding, but armor as well. Never skip hull day.

I bet that was a good learning experience for that other pilot, getting smoked by a DBS in a Corvette lol.

Ran the four rail setup for awhile myself, but it was a little too toasty for my taste.

No one has mentioned it, so I will. You have to admit that the juciest part of this video is the 'Vette commander giving out helpful pro-tips right before the fight.

Herc, that must have made the victory even sweeter.

Pretty cool build. The guy in the Vette looked to be running a PvE build for his shields and hull to crack so fast though. I'd be interested in seeing that DBS up against a properly built PvP Vette.

Seen it many times. God knows how many I killed such like this one.

PVE lord from solo, once gets into thier covfefe's, dares to show at open. Since this cmdr lost to DBS in 90 sec, not even bothering with puting any pips to SYS, clearly proves that. Otherwise, it would atleast hold out a bit longer.


I wonder if this cmdr was ever properly ganked yet. Most likely not, not yet. Since it lost so quick to single DBS, if gank squad would attack it, this cmdr would die before FSD cooldown end after interdiction. Too bad that docking computer and cargo racks and god knows what else PVE modules was so usefull for this cmdr in this situation! Certainly no need for bother with enginners as well! Atleast he did buy covfefe ship kit, lol.

Lol, "never engage a covfefe solo" its classic newb mistake no.1, since almost all greenhorns like that, thinks that size of thier ship alone, can save them from danger. [haha][haha][haha]

A DBS simply doesn't have the ammunition to take on a properly built Corvette. Nor do most mediums.

They usually get bored and leave.

No... The DBS would literally run dry of ammo assuming the SLF hasn't murdered its modules before then. Protip - SLFs do silly damage to little ships, as long as your crew member isn't some fool you purchased at the dock a few minutes ago, they will be more than capable of keeping your Corvette's guns pointed at the DBS while you shoot his engines off.
