A video created to showcase the never ending conflict between powers and overarching superpowers as part of the Elite Dangerous: Ascendancy update. It's realised in a cinematic trailer style. Many thanks for all the skilled and patient commanders and their communities who made this video possible, specifically:

Created without Fdev magic tools over ~3 months, hundreds of hyperspace jumps, thousands of light years, and feels like millions of relogs/restarts all while scouting the locations, creating the instances, coordinating and recording the footage via freecam, telepresence and VR. Each shot you see took quite a while to get the timings, lighting, NCPs, CMDR's, camera and action "right". Most of scenes were captured before the Ascendancy update, with the reminder created once the new locations and activities became available. Big thanks to Spansh for updating his search tool that allowed me to find some of the pretty planetary bases. Inara was instrumental to finding capital ships CZ and dry docks easily. While PowerPlay is more than just combat, I felt that visualising dynamic combat scenes would fit the style and pace of the video I wanted to create best.
