That or the Cutter ..... which has speed if it wants to run.I love the Krait Mk2 and the Phantom, but.... I just got my first Corvette and I am loving how much room is inside this beast. I can stack 3 missions at a time, and smash anything that tries to get in my way. And if I take cargo from one place to another, the profits are huge, so it is paying for itself. And it doesn't have a big belly like the anaconda, so belly scraping the letter box is no longer a thing!
Or you could use the Beluga and have it allThat or the Cutter ..... which has speed if it wants to run.
The boost button in the Cutter is for ramming. Never ignore its class 5 hardpoint. That or the Cutter ..... which has speed if it wants to run.
Does that make the beluga a class 6 ?The boost button in the Cutter is for ramming. Never ignore its class 5 hardpoint.
There's only one way to find out...Does that make the beluga a class 6 ?
I reckon you'll need more than half and hour, them Beluga's are fast and agile...There's only one way to find out...
Devs! Me and Rick need crossplay for half an hour so we can beat our ships together until one of us explodes!
To be honest, it's more out of scientific curiosity that I'd want to do it more that any real belief that the Cutter would be better (multiple battles may be required for thorough testing, so you're probably right about needing much more than half an hour).I reckon you'll need more than half and hour, them Beluga's are fast and agile...
Except cutter likets to get stuck with the side pods. You can't just clip into the mail slot from a weird angle like you can with a corvette. That or the Cutter ..... which has speed if it wants to run.
Where is the TL;DW summary?
The beluga actually flies alot like an fdl, its not even drifty !Okay, I admit it, I really don't like flying my Python, rarely does it put a smile on my face YET it is the most flown ship in my fleet - by a long margin. It is boring to fly, but then for me it is my work truck and I don't expect my work vehicle to be umm exciting. I expect it to be damn good at it's job and it is. When I want fun I fly one of my 'fun' ships, when I want to earn some credits, I fly my Python, simple as that. Same with the Krait, bought one, realised it can't carry as much as the Python, found (for me) it's perfect niche - it is my miner. 128T of cargo, plus 8T in the refinery, that is my limit of endurance when mining anyway so for me, it is ideal.
For combat, neither of these come close, if I want to go blow up other ships, my FdL, Vulture or now my favourite, the Mamba come out to play. Why use a 75% ship for a task when I have a 100% ship available?
Oh and before someone pipes in and says anything about using a Cutter/Corvette/Anaconda/T10/T9 or god forbid a Beluga, nope and repeated for emphasis NOPE. Actually have a T-9. Hate flying it, hate the thought of some NPC in a Sidewinder can interdict me and have more speed and agility than I have in that cow. Just not the ship for me. Same for all the big ships, with the only exception (for me at least) is the Clipper. To me the Clipper is a medium ship that tried to play with the big boys and lost, it use it for fast/dangerous cargo missions or mat collecting - mainly the latter.
Also, I once did a bit of a check. I don't know if it is a peculiarity of my home system or not, but if I went Large Ship only for missions I would immediately cut out over half my available missions. Yep for some reasons a lot of the systems around my home system only have outposts which means a Large ship is basically useless to me.
