View Options

Why Don't we have View options like we have had on all previous Games. Toggle Scenery, People, Buildings, Terrain ect ect. I would of thought this would be more useful than ever now do to how complex we can now make things. I find building, editing any thing so difficult especially underground. And selecting items is always near impossible as it always selects the wrong thing!

Am I missing something because there a lot of creators out there that do really complex stuff above and underground and I struggle with the simplest of tasks because of this.

Thoughts or solutions to this?......
 
seriously does this not bother anyone else? its been apart of all previous titles. how does anyone have the patience to build inside buildings and underground???
 
Did you try changing the view using the "T" key. thats what I use for close up tight spaces when building
 
Not really thought of it. Maybe it's more because I didn't use it in the older games. To me it always felt I didn't know what I was doing untill turning anything that I turned off back on again. And I feel the 3d look gives more freedom of movement instead of the fixed camera view we had in the older rct games.

For others, if it will be helpful to them and Frontier is able to do something like that, maybe throw in a suggestion?
 
Do you mean, for example, when you sink a number of items partially into a wall and, when you try to click them, you’ll just constantly select the wall? And that it would be handy to be able to show / highlight only certain items similar to when you make sequences with the triggers?

The best workaround at the moment (using that example but works in all cases) I can recommend is to delete the wall, select the items and then crtl+Z to bring the wall back. You can then do what you need to do. Otherwise I find myself duplicating, deleting excess areas and keeping “master” pieces during building which I can ctrl+X into place.
