Viewing domes- is this a bug or a feature?

I already posted this on the News and Announcements thread on the new pack/update, but I haven't gotten an answer so I'm making a thread. I tried out the new viewing dome in my Red-Crowned Crane habitat, since it's a pretty big habitat and I thought it'd be fun for the guests to get a closer look at them. Good news- my guests love them! Bad news, no one is viewing the (very large) habitat anywhere else anymore. They go for the dome and if it's occupied they don't stay to explore the habitat, they just go look at a different one. So, my question is, are the viewing domes designed to be the only view of a habitat, or is this a bug?

I haven’t encounter this issue, but I only tried the domes in a small Meerkat enclosure. Could it be that you placed it in large enclosure where the guests would not use the regular spots for viewing because it is really far away?

On the other hand, my guest are getting thoughts on how they are in the dome even if I just place the dome entrance without the actual dome. Weird.

In my experience, this occurs with large habitats when limited viewpoints or viewing angles from the guest perspective does not match their expectations. These guests will then seek out a much closer view of the animals when you add another viewing area. In this case, it is a viewing dome, this can often happen with aquatic habitats where above ground viewing is limited but an underground viewing area will attract many guests. This is not a bug with the viewing dome, rather it's the guests themselves who have the issue.
