Hi all,
My friend recently bought an HTC Vive, I have had one for a long while. I was guiding him though how to improve the game when we hit an issue. So at first he was saying he was getting frame drops and a performance issue. Anyway after spending a good couple of hours researching, i identified that I was having his exact same problem only I had not noticed.
The performance issue only occurs when you look down in the cockpit at your CMDR. Suddenly there is a huge drop in frames. It makes everything janky. If your a vive user look down at yourself and rock back and forth. Everything else works perfect.
Both machines are high spec: Im using a 1080 and my friend has a 1080 TI, both have good recent versions of I7s.
I remember reading a story of someone creating an issue similar in another game (When they smoothed out the thumb of a character they inadvertently created million polygons) where the performance and frames dropped over a specific area.
Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me and my friend.
