Viper Jump Distance

Hi Folks,
Two quick questions please.

Having just purchased a Viper, I've discovered that the jump ranges are pretty short.

Does anyone know, will it be possible in the full game to hitch a lift in the bigger ships, like the Lakon Type 9 for example, for a fee?

Any one know the best places to head for with your Viper?

I like nav beacons, wait for a tasty morsel to come along and relieve them of some cargo.
Jump out to an anarchy with black market, pay off your fines.

To move around we might be able to get lifts or buy ship and leave it stationed.

To get a 11LY jump range you will have to sacrifice weapons to get in between distant systems. There is a user here that has a spreadsheet with all the systems and their inventory, using that you can plan your route to re-equip your ship. Plus, even if you get interdicted without weapons just turn flight assist off, boost and wait for the framedrive to cool down, no one is going to catch you

I like occupying LP 98-132 space for many reasons; nav beacon has traffic, Anahit has the resource site in the rings, and once in a while an unknown signal source will be about 45,000CR in gold ready the scooping. Bring along a k-warrant scanner to collect bounties across all jurisdictions. And mind the griefers that sometimes camp the entrance to Freeport.
