Viper Mark IV is the free ship!

The free ship we are getting for FD missing their launch target of ships is the Viper Mark IV.

Depends when you premium backed, I guess. The free ship was because of a missed kickstarter promise, so only those that bought the premium beta in the kickstarter would get it, would be my guess.

They must owe us a fleet of Anacondas for missing the near God-likes ...

I wonder why? Anyone who pledged at any level failed to get their promised number of ships, so I don't see why they pick out Beta an upwards (not that that affects me, as a DDFer).

I think they announced it right before Beta sale ended (i think it was same Newsletter that mentioned no offline mode) - so my quess is to drive last minute sales.

It's only for kickstarter backers, so that's not it.

The Viper IV looks good, better than the Cobra IV from that small glimpse anyway. However I'm much more interested in the fact that we're finally getting a Cmdr creator tool. It sounds like the next 12months or so will add in many of the features I've been hoping for, fingers crossed that they can pull it all off.

I remember back when I got premium beta that we were told we could expect a free ship. So fairly confident premium beta and onwards get it, but not standard beta.

But really, it's going to be worth 5mil or so? That's 45 mins of trading, so I'm not going to lose sleep over it

... but the community page, as quoted, uses the word kickstarter. But I agree the link you gives does not say kickstarter.

I think Community page article is wrong, and it is for every Beta (and above) backer. I hope so.

and another ship that has its weapons on the far back of the underside... not that targets in most cases are ABOVE your ship because pitch down will cause red-outs...
