Viper sounds and feel

Oh my.

I think the care and detail that has gone into the viper sound and effects are amazing.

I wonder if the sound designer was inspired by the Jaguar F-Type (which I will be getting in December <g>) which incorporates an active exhaust with over-run notes?

The sounds are simply glorious. I could spend time just roaring about the space station outskirts buzzing players like an adolescent pimped up saxo driver with one of those ridiculous over sized exhausts!

I even hear creaks and metal fatigue and thinks knocking around when accelerating hard - I've even had G-force warnings!! haha! Loving it!

Lol I like how the sound snaps to LOUD once you throttle past the blue zone... sort of like hitting boost with an open downpipe or VTEC for the Honda fans.

These are all nice touches that make this game GREAT!!

my first impression was it sounded like a fridge, freezer playing up
maybe a washing mc with i forgot the penny in my pocket as you press the start cycle.

Viper sounds awesome but nothing, I repeat NOTHING (yet) can beat the engine sound of the ZPH. Its like the gates of hell have opened :D

It's a biest of a ship!

In low speed the slight howling sound is nice, too. But true, imho the best sound is when you brutaly throttle down from full boost to zero!! But beware, while the sound in the viper itself is awesome, it is even more awesome when you hear it someone else flying that way! I once heard it from players roaring around when I started the game. I think you first hear something like when a bomber just broke the sound-barrier, and after that the machine groals more slowly and deeper. That moment I was so impressed that I instantly wanted that ship, too.

Also, did you notice the sounds that the ship makes when you keep waiting somewhere? ;)

Regards,
Shadow

When I traded in my Hauler for a Viper I thought I'd been sold a lemon. So creaky and bangy it sounds like it's been "tuned" and ragged about by a west-side rude boy.
