Viper unable to activate 'friendship drive'

So only played the game for two days now and I'm loving it. But after upgrading from an Eagle to a Viper, I now can no long hyper jump to other systems. I can hyper cruise with no problem. Every time I try I get an error stating that the jump exceeds the 1.20 tons of fuel limit. Now the first time I attempted this, I had two fuel cells (each with a capacity of 4). So am I at a bit of a loss on how to correct this, as I cannot find anyone else having this issue. Help lol

Your FSD isn't big enough. The FSD module can only use so much fuel at once (regardless of how much you actually have), a bigger module can use more.
The game has a weird way of tell you that, it could be clearer I agree.

Yah the Vipers Frame Shift Drive is pretty crappy stock. I did a trek all the way across the galaxy to Tau-3 Eridani and only needed to refuel once in my Eagle and then I bought my Viper after some bounty hunting and now I can't even leave the system

Wait till you try a type 9...76million credits and the stock FSD is useless... just a mere 16million to upgrade it...

This. Personally, everyt ime I buy a ship I always buy a new FSD first.

I don't plan on trading but yes that is pretty bad

Same here. My priorities are Power Plant, Frame Shift Drive, Power distribution, and Weapons/Shields. Until all of that is done I won't move my ship from the hanger. I will just fly my previous ship to grind the credits.
