VPC are proud to launch our new range of space-sim focused devices, dubbed the VPC Constellation Series. These devices are aimed specifically at satisfying the needs of even the most demanding space-sim pilots!

The VPC Constellation Delta will be the first release of the Constellation Series. The Constellation Delta is an ambidextrous entry level space-sim grip designed to be used on the existing VPC MongoosT-50 Base and all future VPC Bases without needing any adapters or modifications. It features a range of controls and space-sim focused features including:

• Dual-Stage Trigger
• 8-Way POV Hat (With Programmable LED Lighting)
• 2 x 5-Way Hat (4-Way + Push)
• 1 x Analog Stick + Push
• 1 x Scroll Wheel + Push
• Optional Twist Axis

Combined with the VPC Configurator, shift states and modes can be configured to increase the total button count. The LED lighting can change to reflect the selected mode.

The VPC Constellation Delta is perfect for a dual stick setup, combined with a left or right hand VPC MongoosT-50 Grip or even as a standalone stick with throttle.

VPC will continue to expand the Constellation Series with more devices in the near future - as always, we’re interested to hear what the community wants to see!

The VPC Constellation Delta is scheduled for release in Q1 2018 with pricing information to follow shortly.

Stay tuned for further updates!

Colour me interested... Though, I think a 4 way + push at the thumb rest area is something that is missing. Reading between the lines here, but I also see the potential of a "budget base" announcement at some stage, too.

My understanding from the release was that these are intended as their budget offering (tempting people away from dual T 16.000M setups), and that they will be adding higher end gear dedicated to space sims at a later date :) Still very cool to see a manufacturer like Virpil have a go at the space sim market - they are already the only place to go if you want a high end left hand stick!

Yes, a budget offering, which leads me to think there will also be a budget base offering. Done right, it could, as you say, be a top alternative tot he T16000M.

So, is everyone using custom bindings in options to program this stick to work with Elite?
There would have to be a client update for the developers to introduce a default bindings file for this stick.

And what are you using for throttles with this stick?
The stick isn't actually out yet, but you can pair pretty much any combination of hardware you like. The game is really flexible with controllers. Personally, I don't use a throttle - I use a CAD controller for thrusters and hardware buttons for throttle.

Given the twist function is an "option" (extra expense), would peddles work without it?
See my point above - you can have yaw set to any analogue axis you have attached to your computer.

The stick hasn't been released yet. It's just been revealed. As to a throttle, they may release one themselves, I may go for a completely seperate one though, maybe the new thrustmaster throttle.
