Can anyone explain to me how it works? I think about getting one just to play some old games, mainly the game Holiday Island .

I'm using Winderps 8.1 Currently, the highest OS Holiday Island functions on, for as far as i know, is windows XP. Now I've googled a tiny bit and find there was an actual XP Mode available for Winderps 7 and 8. But Windonts efficiently disabled that Mode for everyone since they discontinued Windows XP. So I'm a bit mindbogled by all this.

You won’t need a Windows XP disc or license key — just a computer running Windows 8.
Go to Microsoft ----> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8002

Actually I've been trying that for the last 24 hours but the instructions are unclear: I've had to call the fire department aprox 26 times now and I have no idea what I did wrong. [mouth shut] Really makes me feel like I'm wasting time, effort and valuable diskspace on programs that are as clear as dirt.

The last time that I used this a year ore so ago to test some old programs it works great .
If this not work buy a genuine XP copy15 € and make a duel boot pc.
