Visiting Sol

I finally got my Sol permit today... so I could go there and laugh scornfully at the people stuck down on the surface!... I also supercruised far out and visited the Voyager Probe... I should find out who it is speaking in my native language in that message.. he sounds like he isn't taking it seriously at all!.. (Well, maybe he just realised just how unlikely it is that anyone/anything will ever find that disc..

)

Might be time to make a second attempt at Sagittarius A* now!...

Argh, I need to go back.. with a Vulture or something. Last time I went to play tourist, in a clean, empty Type 6 (jumps a long way when it's empty, after all), I got NPC interdictions almost constantly. It really spoils your tourist fun, people trying to kill you all the time

Haha.. it was really quiet there today. No NPC pirates.. and the few players I saw appeared to be sightseeing as well.

I travelled out to Voyager 2

As for being interdicted by the NPC's when in a Type-6, it only happens to me every now and then. However, if I'm in a Sidewinder, Cobra, Asp or Python, I get interdicted a lot more.

Its the first Fed permit, I think you get it soon as you hit friendly status.

I've been friendly for quite some time now, still haven't gotten the permit. My rank is only Recruit, though.

I got the permit after ranking up a few times with the Federation.. so basically by doing missions for the Federation factions. It took forever since I kept messing up, like being caught by the Feds while carrying a holdfull of scooped slaves... (They'd prefer I left them to die in space?!.. heartless morons!..

)

In the game the probe broadcasts a loop of short messages in many languages, as far as I have researched, these messages are on the disc on the real probe, though I suppose it isn't broadcasting them in reality..

..and the message in swedish sounds like the guy speaking isn't taking it seriously at all.
