Horizons Visitor beacon?

Hello Commanders,

Just completed my first passenger mission, but... my passenger wanted me to take a detour to a visitor beacon ok np; we arrived and I flew around it a few times but no mission update at all? So I just took him back to his original destination and claimed the mission reward, and took an unhappy status?

So my question is what am I meant to do at said beacon? to get the passenger to update the tour so we can continue?

Regards

If the beacon is in space --> fly to it and scan it, if the beacon is on a planet --> land and drive to the beacon, then scan it.

There is currently a bug which can cause said beacons to not appear, just so you know.

No. Ive just worked out you only need to target it to basic scan it. Also. I didn't need to land to scan a visitor beacon on a planet, just target and basic scan again.

Correct... No need to land to scan those surface ones. You target and scan beacons the same exact way you would target and scan an Unexplored planet or star. There will always be a white square on the beacon and that is what you target. This square looks the same as FSD wakes left by a departing ship.
