Visor glass effects

Running on a monitor, you see dust particles on the visor of what I assume is the pilot's flight helmet (the dust stays in the same place as you head track and interacts with light sources). I was thinking it would add to the sense of immersion if implemented on the Rift, particularly as the Rift is so good at giving the sensation of objects very close to you. They would probably need to be toned down a bit so as not to distract. Is there a technical reason for not doing this?

I thought I had experienced this in the rift. Its very subtle though. Not dust but exactly, more like polishing marks that more with your head tracking. Maybe I was imagining it.

There is lens flare, some of which is quite subtle. Maybe that's what you noticed?

The visor becomes visible after the canopy has popped. Not seen it in any other circumstance I think.
