Hello, FD.
There are a few moments in the game when events in stations happen surprisingly quickly, such as repairing and rearming ships, loading and unloading cargo, switching and buying ships and - obviously - the Incoming Feature That Shall Not Be Named.
I would like to see some brief, transitional eye-candy to express the passing of time, when an event that should take time has been 'finalised' by the player, such as when leaving the fitting screen, the commodity screen, etc, after completing an actual activity.
Nothing too fancy, just simple beauty-passes showing the station from different perspectives from the usual, perhaps showing events taking place, such as ships launching, SAVs on patrol, loiterers being shot and so on.
Some relatively simple token mechanisms to express cargo- or ammunition-loading or repairs would be good to have, but not essential - no-one's been too fussed in eighteen months, so no biggy either way.
For those of us who like realism, or just enjoy stopping to look around and appreciate the scenery, it would be a very nice thing to have - and good for delineating psychological boundaries between the various activities and states.
Those impatient players who don't want to see it should be able to skip the sequence, or perhaps turn them off in the graphics menu.
That's it. I don't know how much effort it would be to develop, but my word, that's a simple idea on paper.
Thank you for listening, FD.
