visus VR

Doesn't sound bad, but to have a good experience with it, for one you need to own a smartphone, that fits into this box, and to have high resolution, the smartphone won't be cheap to buy extra. And - how will it be supported software wise ? The OC is supported in Elite, but no other VR headset, yet. So for sure this visus VR isn't on the list of Frontier, yet. And for other games there need to be a special software or driver, that will have those games start and use this VR system. I own a special driver program for the DK2, which is called VorpX - but it only supports certain games and in my opinion it doesn't really work very well in those games , in my humble opinion ...

And also be aware, it is $99 for the case.. you still have to supply the phone

They are using Google cardboard program, they have stuff that make it mimic an Oculus Rift, this is just selling a 3d printed case so you dont have a thing you folded up with cardboard stock on your head. That is all this is.

Well it is not google cardboard according to the description.

It contains an own IMU (fused mag acc gyro) so it is most likely superior to cardboard.
However, it is far inferior to the DK2.
Do not expect low persistence, expect high latency, do not expect lateral detection, expect motion sickness, do not expect 3d precision, etc.

It's likely more a hobby project than a finished product with a dream of jumping on the VR wave.
