I admit to my shame that I broke down too. Major factors for me were the tracking system, and the fact that OpenVR works without steam and support is being added to pretty much every large open source engine atm.

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked too. I ordered both OR and Vive within the first hour of pre-orders opening, and I'll see which I prefer. It's mainly the fact that I've already invested a lot in Steam already that the Vive is more attractive, but there are still some exclusive Oculus released (Trackmania, Radial-G and Proton Pulse Plus in my case) that means I need to have both before one probably ends up on eBay. And the immediate worry that I may need to rent my buttom out to pay for it all... ;)

Did the same today with ordering a Vive for May. Will probably arrive before my April Rift the way the shipping is currently going with the Rift.
