Vive worth it now?

I have a vive. I woldn't consider playing E: D without it.

But if the OP didn't like the Rift, how's a Vive going to be any different/better? When you look at them from an "outsiders" perspective, they are pretty much identical, and if something like "scuba" effect is an issue that doesn't go away after a period of play, then perhaps it's just not going to work for the OP?

Unless she/he's talking about Nitrogen Narcosis which I have no idea about how to mitigate whilst in VR...

I've previously owned a DK2, now own both a Vive and Rift.

If you wear glasses, the Vive interior is better in accommodating them. I've personally found the FOV marginally better in the Vive, but not much really to speak off.

And whilst the Rift looks a little better than the Vive in ED, it isn't markedly so for me, and of course the Vive's other titles are way more enjoyable for me that anything the Rift currently has.

Current generation headsets are going to have roughly the same FOV, which won't get better until we can get more performance from graphics cards that can offer high resolutions at a suitable framerate, so the HMD design can ultimately widen our view.

With that in mind, I'm happy to have VR full stop than wait, considering it will take manufacturers a long while to produce higher specification solutions.

Really, I'd love to hear what they are, as my mate hasn't touched his Vive for nearly a month now because there's so little on it worth coming back to. And trust me when I say he has spent a small fortune on VR games in his Steam library.
