VKB bindings file (to download) forElite Dangerous Odyssey?

Over the last 8 years of flying in ED, Ive created lots of bindings files. So I am very familiar with the process.

Recently I created one for my now previous. CH HOTAS. When I went to test it , it had a tailspin that I could not correct. I thought it might be something the mouse was doing so I shut that off. And rechecked every entry to trouble shoot. I couldnt stop it from spinning.

Now with a Gladiator NXT EVO Omni Throttle - Left Hand and a Gladiator NXT EVO ‘Space Combat Edition’ - Right Hand Im hoping to find someone kind enough to share their bindings FILE that I can download and alter to taste. To be clear Im not looking for a visual template...there are tons of those available online. Just the file.

In my current version I also use a Twcs throttle, but I might have one a bit older that doesn't. For me it's easier just to build a new set and I'm always playing with it. The layout is useful to plan and visualize the setups.

I agree. Visual templates are very helpful. But since Im just starting out with VKB I thought it would be nice to just use someones that is exactly like my configuration and alter to taste.

I don't know how to get it to you, but if you want it, you're welcome to it. I've found that the setup is highly personal, most every setup is different from mine that I've seen. I have taken some ideas from others, but I don't like most setups I've seen.

its just a text file so cpen it in notepad and paste the text in a pm he can then copy and paste it to notepad and change the filetype extension to a .binds file type
he may need to edit the device id using notepad ++ find and replace feature if it is different once received

I appreciate your offer. Unless you have The "throttle" and stick version of the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO ‘Space Combat Edition, I think I will hold out to see if I can get one that conforms to what I have. If not, I can always create the binds myself based on the many templates Ive seen online. But thank you for your generosity.

Someone else's .binds file will only work if the IDs of the USB devices match exactly.

You can frankenstein a .binds file together with search and replace, but this is probably going to be a lot of work in and of itself.

To make the process easier, the game drops an error log into the same folder where your binds file lives. This will make it easier to locate absent devices that will cause the file to fail to load.

In all honesty, I believe that you'll be better off assigning your binds yourself. When I get new hardware, I assign the basic controls initially, then add to them as the need arises.

Yes, Ive used that approach many times in the past. You make a good point. I will find some graphic templates I like as a starting point and do it myself. Then alter as I see fit.

i always bind my controls virtually with the same layout for any game i play weather first person shooter to aircraft simulation

Try this, it's the latest and greatest that I use. Works for all situations, ship, buggy, and on foot! Remove the LAST EIGHT (8) placeholders "[space](2).txt" and pop it into "C:\Users\[YOUR_NAME_HERE]\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings", fire up ED and enjoy! Let me know if you liked it, made changes, etc. Would love to hear how it worked out for you - and be sure to share it, there's no reason to have to reinvent the wheel..

Thanks! Thats very thoughtful of you. I created my own about a month ago and now have them in muscle memory so switching is not an option. But I really do appreciate your offer.
