Newcomer / Intro VKB NXT EVO - Axis not recognized

Hello CMDR,

I just got my new VKB Galdiator NXT EVO joystick. Happy as a puppy, I connected the stick and started to assign it in Elite Dangerous. It worked fine.

Then I decided to do some button assignment in the configuration software "VKB Device Config". I followed the video for mapping buttons to keyboard.

The assignment of buttons worked, but my joystick axis are no longer recognized.

I loaded the configuration with the default and changed the keyboard setting to "Classic"

So with everything default and this setting above, my joystick axis are no longer recognized in ED.

Does anybody have any idea and has more experience with this joystick to help me out?

Not that it was less frustrating in being a problem, but I have been able to make a step forward.

I uninstalled my mouse and that resolved the issue. I am now able to assign buttons to keyboard combos and use the joystick axis for yaw/roll/pitch. After that I reinstalled the mouse software and all still works as it should.

My assessment is that it has to do with the HID assignment. I read a comment about other devices being "in the way" of a correct initialization of the joystick, where it was advised to uninstall the drivers for these devices.

I can now further enjoy my new toy and I am a happy CMDR.
