just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
VA has not been able to start since

Have tried the stable and the previous BETA , ( yes I keep them just in case) no versions are working now.

Any help would be great thanks ,

Not to be a complete git but what has this to do with Frontier?

It's a third party tool. Wouldn't this be better addressed on the VA forums?

Like VR Graphic Cards , and Joysticks that are not made for ED, where VA has profiles/ Voice packs for ED... anything else , you like to be unhelpful with ?

EDIT truly amazes me NOT! that people will go to the effort to nip pick while ELECTION 2015 is a thread !

Ps the bug is posted at VA forums as well over 5 hours ago

Like Garix says, you're asking in the wrong place.

You could try the ED support forum or the VA Forums, but not the general discussion forum.

The election 2015 thread is entertaining, and not a support request.

The Voice packs and profiles are also Third party produces not from Frontier Developments.

Can you stop with the opinions I'm not interested , I'm trying to get VA working so I can play ED, its that simple , if you cant help don't answer, go bug another thread ...truly pathetic

Hence the request the VA have its own discussion forum , like others do

I downloaded the trial version of VA and I couldn't even set it up. Even just trying to deploy hard points.
I had hard points mapped to the U key. Set up VA so that when I said ' Deploy weapons' it should perform the relevant key press. I opened a text editor and spoke the magic words and Yes! There was the letter U displayed for all to see.
I loaded up the game, took my ship to an empty part of the system and
"Deploy weapons"... Nothing.
" Deploy.... Weapons". Still nothing.
"DEPLOY WEAPONS". Zilch.
I checked my options/controls and 'Deploy hard points' was still mapped to the U key. Back into the game, pressed the U key... Nothing. I went back to controls and remapped the U key, back into game and still nothing, either with the voice command or the keyboard.
I alt tabbed out, shut down VA, went back to the game, pressed the U key and out popped my lasers. Pressed the U key again and the lasers retracted.
I messed around with the program for a few hours trying out different commands with varying degrees of success. Sometimes the voice command worked, sometimes it just seemed to disable the very key it was meant to operate.
I gave up on VA and bought a hotas. I can retract weapons and jump with a few buttons now. I've watched videos of pilots using VA in e:d and it looks awesome but I couldn't get it to work satisfactorily. It's probably just me.

Mine was working up until installing the beta , timing in the keys is something to look at , if you try again.

You could also try running VA as administrator and then load up Elite.
Is VA (or even Elite) installed in "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)"? If so, I'd recommend installing them elsewhere.

Ok been at this from early today so over 12 hours , then remembered ah! ,Crash Plan https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=142805&p=2190792&viewfull=1#post2190792

And restored just before it all went south , so VA Beta 68 is now up and running , with all those last game tweaks in VA saved.

So I now have my brand new 3d pro joystick ( yes I like it, cheap works fits my hand ) with Ivona Amy installed and a working VA , just too tried to play now... lol :) think i watch some Sci fi , hopefully after shutdown , no gremlins in the morning. So I do recommend if your like me , and have heaps going on, have lot of gaming files and stuff you tweak, plus have a habit of updating software , then get a file back up plan in place. Just remember to use it :)
