Newcomer / Intro Voice Attack Missing Keybind Finder

Hi everyone. A quick question please.

Short version: I am running ED on VR with a Sol HOTAS which runs on the TARGET GUI. When I go into the Customizer in Voice Attack and look for missing keybinds, it does not let me choose which of the bind files I want it to look at. How do I get VA to pick a different .binds file to return any missing keybinds?

Long version: I am looking to set up custom binds within ED Odessey for different ships. Not sure that will be strictly necessary, but I want to have the option. I can do this by renaming the .binds files (open the file in a text editor and change the name within the "" marks) which should show on the dropdown menu within the controls of Elite Dangerous. So the idea is this: I have different bindings for different ships within ED. I then make a new VA profiles to mirror those bindings. But is this all unnecessary? Should I just have one set of custom keybinds within elite which VA will be able to find for every ship?

Are you talking about HCS Voice Packs? In that case, on profile startup HCS loads whatever keybinds are currently active in the game - you cannot tell it to use a specific file. It also has the limitation that all four binds - general, ship, SRV and on foot - have to be from the same binds file. What you try to do probably will not work.

Thanks, that was the answer I was looking for. Many thanks!
