over the last few days i have been having a problem with my mic. however i have another pc that it works fine.
one of the main things was my mic was picking me and a humming noise that was drowning me out.
though i had now got my mic working again, i was still struggling with being recognised, even though i was in a silent room and only sound to be heard is me and my pc's fans.
i was reading up on mic gain, a desktop mic has this option. i have never come across a headset that does.
while i was going through this article it was suggested trying some software.
its a bit of struggle at first but soon that goes away.
i have now got my mic picking up and recognising every word i say. much better than i have ever had it..
this software enables you to increase mic gain as well as giving you control to lift and lower background noise through a equaliser.
i am really impressed with it and that is why i'm tell you guys/gals about it.
so if you are having issues with not being recognised this is the program for you. Microsoft has missed the target here, this should be available within windows. though with this you have total control.
the program is called Equalizer APO
you can get the software here https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/?source=typ_redirect
instructions can be found here https://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/wiki/Documentation/
