Discussion Voice Attack, vjoy (virtual joystick) and making it work for Elite

As the title indicates, I am trying to get VA to work with a virtual joystick rather than the keyboard so I still have my keyboard for Odyssey on foot. I can get VA to talk to the virtual joystick, but I can't seem to get Elite to recognize the commands or "button" presses from VA. Is there an option in Elite that I need to change? Anybody really know?

going from memory here, but make sure you use the virtual joystick in VA . I have this setup, so I'll pm you my settings if you like.

IIRC VA can track button presses on controllers but uses keypresses for executing commands.

Been some time since I did the original setup, but there's a setup step to get the controller use to keep track of menu states, but commands all must be mapped to keypresses.
