Voice commands

Hello Frontier,

Do you plan on adding the voice commands to the PS4 version?
I feel that we're losing a lot of features of this game just because we chose to invest money in to a console and not a PC. I haven't put together a list, but i know for sure that there are other features too that the ps4 version doesn't have next to it's PC version.

Thank you and i really hope i get an answer from a frontier representative.

Sorry if this sound demeaning but, and I a ps4 owner would love to have the voice feature. I general, one is willing to pay more for a pc vs a console becasue of the available features, one pays less for a console because of the lact of available features are not available. If a console offered the same avalable features it would cost considerably more. But sense they don't, the price is so much considerably lower, that one will genearally unless they are hard core and features will in some part cure their additctions. Purchase a console which is designed for basically a whole family to utilize unlike a pc, which is an acronmy for Personal not family commputer.

Having sufficent funds to buy the new ps5 and a new 4 k tv when the ps5 becomes available or the newest bestest gaming computer is not an issue that I have. Inso much as if I buy a top of the line pc, though I'll get to keep all my assest aquired thus far in ED. My more than 2,000 hours at the present I've invested in GRINDING in regards to both Navy's, the allicance and the pilot federation in regards to being elite in two and almost three of the catorgories. Not to mention unlocking all the various systems and engineers again; Will be gone! Thus it will cause me to purchase a ps5 and not a pc. The cost of converting from console to pc is not an issue for me, it's the grinding that one has invested that in my case 2,000 hours todate, is the issue.

If FDev would allow one to make a one time switch in platforms and keep EVERYTHING, I'd switch from console to pc today. For no other reason but those cool features one can implement that a console will never offer.

I am sorry but i cannot accept this. I cannot accept the fact that if i am a ps4 user i am dumber(which is the word actually said in other words) than a PC user. There are mods that do some of those features for the PC version which are not made by Frontier? Ok, there are dudes that probably will be willing to make the same mods for PS4. Can't anyone tell me that that is not possible since it was already done for Skyrim for example, jurnal log for Bungie, Ubisoft, EA and so on and so forth..
There are posibilities, it's just a matter of will, if you ask me. And no, you don't pay more for the game on PC, it's the same price. Owning a PC or PS4 or Xbox for the matter, one over the other one, shouldn't be a definer.

Voice command in pc is not a frontier software...

Skyrim has built in software, that allows developers to..well..develop mods and add them to the game. :)
It is a matter of allowing this type of modes to be added to your game.
If they can do it, it means it is possible; and there's always going to be a developer willing to build a voice comand mod for ED. That i can take to the bank.

Be careful as to what commands you use, and who can hear them. I can remember a Player (who posted on this Forum) who used the command "Hit It" to trigger the boost. On one occasion he was docking his Imperial Clipper and had just entered the mail slot when his young daughter (a few years old) said, clear as a bell, "Hit It". His Clipper hit boost, the rear wall of the docking hall, and the REBUY screen in very short order!

NBA 2k has had voice commands in it for years; I'm sure FDEV could make this happen if they wanted to. I don't sense PS4 being their priority player base.

I'm courious, can voice command be installed on or in my wife? Don't tell her I asked, it could go bad for me. LOL

You can't compare a Indie developer with a triple A developer. FDEV doesn't have the manpower or resources that Bungie, EA, or Bethesda have

PC players buy Voice Attack to use. If we want to have the voice packs we have to pay extra for it. Voice attack works in the background and press keys on the keyboard based on our commands. It actually isn't built into the game.

I understand that and i don't mind. What i would like from Frontier is to at least tell us if they can implement a moding system, limited of course to keep everything in line, to allow other developers to add such options. Something like Skyrim has. If that's possible it would be nice, if it's not..well then..it's not.

Isn't that possible? From what I gathered from what OP said in this thread , there must be a way to switch. Or ist it just the money that is transferred over (they said "assets")?

please don't leave us

Edit: ah, my bad, just saw the later posts, it seems all your assets are liquidated and transferred, but none of the progression like ranks.

Hense the point I was trying to make to a different poster about purchasing a pc vs console. One gets what they pay for, thus one must deceide just how they want to play, which for a noob video game player isn't an easy well thought out thing to do.

PS4 players involved in Fallout wanted, asked for, pleaded etc. etc. etc modding. Though PC players could and would and did modding almost from day one. It took years by the throng of player to get Sony to allow a limited version of modding to the game. A games developer doesn't have a nickle in a quarter when it comes to what a console manufacture will and won't allow. Thus one big reason to choose a pc in additon to others over a console beside the cost.

Until my grandkids bought me a ps4, I've never played any video games, period. After almost two years now, had I known then what I know now. I'd have informed them to give me a gaming ps and added the difference to their budget.

And if FDev would allow a one time transfer of EVEERYTHING, not just the assests, to a different platform. I'd buy a gaming pc today. And just trash the ps4.

I wouldn't hold out much hope as for something like voice control being something that could be modded in as you would need extra scripting features and to the best of my knowledge even skyrim/fallout doesn't have that ability on consoles and I doubt they will (also I'd doubt the console versions of those would even have mods if it wasnt for those titles being more popular on PC due to mods).

Best you can hope for is for Frontier to actually put the functionality into the base game which would enable it for all versions (would love it on the PS4 as i do miss voice control when I play on my PS4 account)
