I've been working on an application and I finally think it's ready. Not everyone has two (or more) screens and tabbing back and forth can be tiresome for those who don't. The solution: A voice recorder that works by a hotkey press.
You press the hotkey you've assigned. You will hear 2 beeps. This tells you the system is recording what you say. You press the hotkey again and you will hear 1 beep to confirm that your recording has been saved.
There is an option to open the output folder when recording is stopped. This can be enabled or disabled at the user's preference.
You specify a base filename and the output directory as well as a hotkey. Then whenever you press the hotkey, the system will begin recording and continue until you again press the hotkey.
The output filename is basename-YYYY-MM-DD--HH-mm-SS.wav where basename is the name you chose for your base filename, YYYY is the year, MM the month, DD the day, HH the hour, mm the minute and SS the second the recording stopped. Example: Voice Log-2016-11-16--07-55-22

Settings screen
These are just my settings, of course. As shipped, there is no defined hotkey, output folder or Base Filename specified.
The program can be downloaded by clicking here
I usually clear Open output Folder on Stop before I start ED, but you can have it open it if you want.
Feedback is welcome and encouraged.
