VoiceAttack cannot execute ''Thruster\Ship Speed'' related commands. Any advice\help?

Well, got the VoiceAttack software up and running.
ALSO got the voiceattack profile from http://www.elitedangerousvoicepack.com/ and installed it successfully.
Trained windows voice recognition program several times (just in case)
AND Command weight at 100 procent.

NOW, the voice command software, a.k.a ''ASTRA'' UNDERSTANDS ALL MY COMMANDS,
REPLIES TO THEM, and EXECUTES them successfully,
*EXCEPT* the speed\thruster (whatchamacallit) commands.
When I utter the words, ASTRA replies and acknowledges them, but NOTHING HAPPENS afterwards.

For example, when I give commands such as:
-Deploy Landing Gear
-Retract Hardpoints
etc, etc
Astra replies to me audibly, and executes them perfectly in a timely manner.
BUT
When I give her commands such as:
-Fifty Percent \ Thrusters 50%
or
-Full Impulse \ Maximum Impulse
or
Main Drives Maximum

She replies to me as if she is acknowledging my command,
but it doesn't do anything at all; the ship's speed doesn't change etc.
ALL ''speed\thruster'' related commands that I;ve so far tried are like that.
WIERD coz,, all other commands such as; ''Lights on\off'' etcetera
are working pretty damn fine.
WHICH IN TURN - MAKES ME THINK> this thing migh be ''solvable''.

I mean.... Maybe it is control related.. Maybe I need to change something
in the control options menu.
So far I tried my gamepad and keyboard\mouse only options, but it didn't
seem to help much.
But im open to suggestions\ideas.
PS- I've also got a Hotas Cougar connected and set-up, but I haven't used
it in conjunction with Voice Commands yet.
Cheers.

He's right, check what VA is using as key bindings in its command for each thruster input and mirror that with your own key bindings. It should work fine after that.

Yes, I had the same problem... I used the numerical voice commands (0%, 25%, 50%) etc. Just ensure that they are set to a key press and you are good to go.

I just started playing around with Voice Attack a few days ago, but so far I have not installed any of the pre-recorded voice packs. I may do so at some point but wanted to fully understand what was going on with Voice Attack first. I use a TM Warthog, so mainly wanted to use it for any key commands that are not already mapped on the HOTAS/pedals setup. As I have a throttle for controlling speed, I did not see the need for using any speed control commands, but I know that you would need to map the various percentages in the controls setup as they are not set by default (apart from X as 0%). :)

I use that same ASTA profile, so i know that the thruster commands uses the numerical keypad in the default profile, just make sure you have the bindings set in the options/controls menu and it should work fine. Mine do.

By default the percentage key binds are not set in ED.

also on a different tact... make sure your key presses are set to go through direct x (should have a checkmark in the box if I remember correctly)

When you send the thrust command are you setting it to hold the key for a period of time?

I have evasive manoeuvres programmed for VA that use thrusters and they work. (Or at least they did in beta - I don't remember to use them in the heat of battle).

I use a HOTAS setup with pedals, the great thing about voice attack is the macros, I can say 'configure the ship for approach' the gear will come down, power is diverted to shields, sensor range decreases, and 50% speed is set. I can just focus on the flying, I always have the option of doing everything manually.

I prefer controlling speed and systems via voice in the big ships, in an Eagle or Viper I fly them like and old spitfire.

Thank you for the replies.
I am trying to check what VA is using as keybindings in its command for each thruster imput, so that I can mirror those with my own key bindings in the game,
But I can't figure it out :(
I mean, I can't figure out how to tell which key-press is associated with a voice command in VA.

Here is what I do.
-I open VA (in admin mode)
-than I select the ED profile (usually its pre-selected anyways)
-than I click on ''edit profile''
-followed by clicking on ''main drives maximum'' among the given list of commands.
And than;
-I double-click on it or right-click to edit it.
-it opens up a new window about that particular command (as it should) with the following options selected:
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=27wye5e&s=8#.VKWib9E5A09
As you can see in the picture, I could find no particular ''key pressess'' associated with the voice command here.
So, I proceeded to click on the ''Key Press TAB\button'' to the left.
Than I get this;
http://i59.tinypic.com/2ywvk8h.jpg
STILL NO particular key-bindings that I can find here...

So... I decided to check out something else.
The ''Lights On'' command, for example.
Why?
Because it is one of those commands that works perfectly well in game with VoiceAttack.

So, lets take a look at it;
1-Main Edit Page: http://i60.tinypic.com/213kt2.jpg
2-Key Edit Page: http://i59.tinypic.com/2dw6vky.jpg

OMG ROFL... :D It STILL looks like the same thing.
So, im ashamed to admit that I have not been able to figure out which key presses are associated with which voice commands (so that I could put the same key-commands in-game in order to make them work with VoiceAttack).
Any advice would be helpful, as I am sure I must be doing something wrong >p
Cheers.

hej, did u copy the key bindings file from astra , voiceattack/sounds/hcspack/profiles/bind directory to your edlaunch/products/forc-fdev-v-1002/controlschemes directory ?
Also when it says execute ((lights)) command the key press command is inside the ((lights)) command, just open ((lights)) to see what key is pressed.
hope this helps, gl

In the profile editor, click on "Category" to sort by category. Look for "Keybindings" and each command is shown as "((Commandname)) (disabled)". These will show you what keys are being sent to the game. Also, I'm not sure if your throttle axis is over-riding your thruster % keys. I have no use for keybindings for thruster % since it's so easy to use the throttle.
