Note that this requires at least version 1.6.1.2 of VoiceAttack, which is a beta release.
I'm fed up with trying to remember if I want a particular material or not, so coded up three VoiceAttack commands to help me. They're pretty simple:
Your requests to remember are persistent, so should be saved across VoiceAttack sessions.
If you have trouble with VoiceAttack recognising particular materials when you say them you might need to train up the Windows speech recognition system. To do this start up the speech recognition program and add whatever word you're struggling with to the dictionary.
You can obtain the profile from http://www.mcdee.net/elite/MaterialReminder.vap
By default these profiles assume you have EDDI installed for the voice effects. If you don't use EDDI you can edit the scripts so that they use simple 'Say' commands rather than EDDI's plugin version.

- Say "Remember that I need x", where x is the name of a material (carbon, thermic alloys, wahtever) for materials that you need
- Say "Remember that I do not need x" for materials that I do not need
- Say "Do I need x" for a reminder as to if you need a material or not
