General / Off-Topic Volunteer Moderator

As far as I know, you don't apply for this role, here. You are asked if you're deemed worthy. So there really isn't much you can do.

I think the criteria are kind of tough, though. Brett needs to know you personally (so attending the meetings is a must) and you should have a completely clean sheet when comes to forum warnings and infractions. Plus you need to be a non-conflict kind of person, which is probably the hardest thing to be, around here.
I certainly don't qualify.

I wish to know how I can become a volunteer Moderator. Thx.
OP, I hope FD now never consider you for moderator status.

Nothing personal, but generally someone who looks for such status is looking for power, for power's sake.

IMO, you disqualified yourself through this thread.

I wish you the best in your posting. No reason you can't do well as a member of the community, but I think a number of people would agree with me when I say I wouldn't want someone actively asking for status to be granted such.

There is a reason FD doesn't actively ask for applications.

Ok you win however I thought they just wanted us to fill out a form sorry can be so this now and talk friendly please?
I'm aware of the hostile nature of my posts here.

It's just that, there's a lot of people who think that moderator posts should be the reserve of the top 0.1%.

That's me out lol. But then I wouldn't want to turn my main online hangout into a job anyway.

It just colours me curious, why would you, who only joined the forum this very day, have any interest in joining a team that he has, frankly, zero experience with?

I am posting this for everyone's benefit by the way. I've been here since 2015, and I have more posts than, well, almost everyone. People know I can be pretty brutal in my honesty sometimes. Today is one of those days.
