So Full Body tracking in VR is now possible and with not much effort required in-game:

It would be awesome to allow for tracking of our arms or even shoulders so we can move around and let other CMDRs see our bodies actually move while in our seats. Maybe just as a test for the future and to see how many people use it and how much buzz it creates around the internet.
I'm no game dev, but this seems to me like an opportunity to make a solid step towards proper VR implementation without actually spending too many resources. With the high chance of generating some very cool videos by the community.
An HTC engineer released the basic code for this to help out interested devs: https://github.com/JamesBear/vive_ik_demo
