VR Full Body Tracking + Elite's sitting CMDRs (maybe not Full for now)

So Full Body tracking in VR is now possible and with not much effort required in-game:

It would be awesome to allow for tracking of our arms or even shoulders so we can move around and let other CMDRs see our bodies actually move while in our seats. Maybe just as a test for the future and to see how many people use it and how much buzz it creates around the internet.

I'm no game dev, but this seems to me like an opportunity to make a solid step towards proper VR implementation without actually spending too many resources. With the high chance of generating some very cool videos by the community.

An HTC engineer released the basic code for this to help out interested devs: https://github.com/JamesBear/vive_ik_demo

The trackers are available here: https://www.vive.com/eu/vive-tracker-for-developer/

Came here to post this, Eve Valkyrie does this very well.... as does Bridge Crew. Multicrew would benefit greatly from head animation / positioning linked to the VR headset. The current random head movements in multi crew are off putting in VR. It would be fantastic as a player turns to talk to you that their head is actually tracked.

Elite Dangerous is mentioned so much on the Oculus Reddits as one of the best VR experiences, its my favorite VR experience by far, this would be a lovely enhancement for playing in Multi Crew. Please consider it.
