VR Not Ready for Prime Time

guess everyone should've passed on the CRT televisions and VCR and simply waited until 4k and bluray were available. VR is awesome, and if it werent for oculus reigniting the spark we'd still be playing with nvidia's 3D vision.

I'm still using NVidia 3D vision. It's more lifelike than 2D, at least to me, but I accept that it's a poor substitute for VR.

I agree with many of the OP's points, as far as the current state of VR. However, I've been waiting for something like the Pimax 8K to come out, before I take the plunge into VR. The 8K appears to take care of all the issues I care about and has had mostly positive comments on the 'net.

I decided that it was worth the risk and ordered one. I understand that others might prefer to wait until it's a real product or even until a better unit is released. I can also relate to those who can't wait and want VR now.

Even if VR isn't quite ready for prime time at this exact instant, I'm hopeful that it will be by January, when my 8K is supposed to arrive.
