VR off

hi, can someone please help, i use VR to play elite but i want to be able to just play every now and again on my screen and be able to set all my new keybinds instead of keep lifting the rift off of my head to look at other bits while playing.
Can someone please let me know how to stop the game starting in VR every time i launch the game ?.
I asked Malic on stream last night how to turn off VR and he showed me on stream but when i check my settings the part he showed is not there. I have gone over the settings about 20 times but can find nothing, HELP

If it's through Oculus it's easy (I'm sure it's probably easy on steam but I run oculus so idk). Just click the title in oculus library on desktop and there'll be a drop down for VR or desktop.

I'd go with this. Very easy to use, as long as you remember to click the "Apply" button!

I use it like you probably do to help with major outfitting sessions and the like which can be a bit tiring on the eye in VR.

Alternatively, you can create a shortcut to the launcher and add the /novr switch to the command line. This temporarily disables the VR headset, but leaves all other settings intact. Note that this does not work with the Oculus version from the Oculus store (where the launcher is invoked via an Oculus starter module), but there, you have a dedicated option inside Home anyway. Another drawback is that the graphics settings which will stay at the VR ones (except HMD) as those are shared, so Dr. Kaii's tool which allows for switching between different profiles is the better alternative here.

Or, while in VR, go to Options > Graphics and by the 3D setting select Off from the drop down list. You will now be back to standard screen view.

To go back to VR just select whichever HMD option you use.
