VR on Xbox possibilities?

Ive been looking into VR on the Xbox One But not getting very far.

I have seen that Oculus Rift is possible but runs through Windows 10... Mac user here!

Playstation PSVR is also possible, but understand that you need a PS4 to run the VR through the Xbox.

Am I wrong on this or is there a setup out there that I can use?

Elite in VR is only possible on the pc.

Currently there is no VR on the xbox. Microsoft might start supporting their "mixed reality" headsets on the one x but they've not announced it yet.

I had a PS4-Slim, got Elite Dangerous, bought a PS4-Pro for better graphics (secretly hoping that ED VR would be ported to PSVR), after doing some research I realised that VR requires SERIOUS Horse-Power, started looking for a PC, I settled on a MSI 1070Ti and a i7-7700k CPU, the graphics card can just.... cope with HMD set to1.5 and SS at 1 and the rest at Ultra/high. What will the hardware requirements for the next generation of VR be ?, a 1080Ti minimum I bet, most probably a 1090Ti or better.

My advise, don't waste your money on a console. The hardware requirements of consoles will never catch up with actual VR requirements. Consoles are in no mans land, if they make the next generation of consoles user upgradeable isn't that essentially a PC ?, sure sounds like it to me. Games are going to become more demanding not less, a good example is Kingdom Come Deliverance which uses the latest Cry-Engine, Consoles cannot render the same quality graphics as a PC, and the PC version requires a 1080 or better card in order to run everything at Ultra, no current console has the processing power to compete.
