VR Option to Broaden FOV/Remove Grey Border in Odyssey

Hi! I am very impressed with the graphics optimizations in recent months in Elite Dangerous Odyssey. The very good use of the AMD Fidelity FX toolkit in particular inspired me to go forward with my own small efforts in development and GPU profiling. So, anyway, NOW that you have accomplished this can you please at least give us VR users in Odyssey the option to remove the grey border on foot. I have profiled many GPU's over the last few months including NVIDIA 3080/90 variants, my own AMD 6800x and indeed NVIDIA 2080/90 amongst others. This generation of GPU'S and and indeed the last are now I think capable of rendering good quality VR graphics in Elite Dangerous, due to your very excellent optimization work. Certainly with my own Pimax 5k headset and also using many mixed reality headsets that I know of. So, to go with the seasons spirit of new energy and life bursting upwards anew, dare I say EASTER EGGS appearing, to the joy of people everywhere not least gamers. COULD WE VR USERS PLEASE RECIEVE A LITTLE FRONTIER SUPRISE OF OUR OWN! Something that would perhaps take some of the feelings and cry's of community malcontent and transform them into squeals of joy and happiness . Thanks, CMDR JJ ;)

I really agree with everything you said. On November 2021, Sally answered me after I asked her the same question. Here is was her answer :

'' Hello! Haw... We were only talking about the "can it be black around the edge" for VR at Dinner with the Devs on Saturday, funny enough I didn't have the notebook there with me but I've kept it for resurfacing in chats! Thank you for your thoughts. You fly safe too o7''

I don't know what is going on. I wish they would put a bit more love on the VR side of thing. That gray box is so disturbing...

Anyway, I know it's an old thread, but I wonder what is your thought about the VR state?

While you are doing something about colour options for the border, could you please give us stereoscopy? I just checked now. You still have a 3D SBS option for Odyssey. I know I could just use a VR virtual desktop that can handle an SBS input, but that would make swapping from full VR flying to this halfway house compromise very clunky
